Meiyang Chang, who is returning to the big screen with a small role in Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’, says he has stayed away from movies as he was getting similar roles.
The 32-year-old ‘Indian Idol’ star made his debut in Bollywood with Yash Raj’s 2010 crime-comedy ‘Badmaash Company‘ with Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Vir Das. That was his only film till the offer for the detective drama came.
