Filmmaker Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions together with producer Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment will co-produce the official remake of ‘The Intouchables’. Mohit Suri will direct the project.

In the announcement on Twitter, Karan posted: “Guneet Monga (Sikhya Entertainment) and Dharma Productions will co-produce the official remake of ‘The Intouchables’…directed by Mohit Suri.”

Confirming the same, Monga tweeted: “Guneet Monga and Dharma Productions to co-produce the official remake of ‘The Intouchables’. To be directed by Mohit Suri.”

‘The Intouchables’, released in 2011, was directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano.

Lara Dutta says 'Chalo Dilli' sequel a fresh film altogether

Lara Dutta is excited about doing a sequel to her debut film production ‘Chalo Dilli’, but says the new project will not be a continuation of the 2011 entertainer.

“The sequel to ‘Chalo Dilli’ will be a fresh film altogether and not a continuation. We have different characters in that,” Lara told IANS.

‘Chalo Dilli’, directed by Shashant Shah, features Lara and Vinay Pathak in the lead.

Apart from the sequel, what should one look forward to from Lara on the work front?

“There are multiple things happening right now. I am working on my production house, we have been talking about the sequel to ‘Chalo Dilli’ with Eros (Eros International) and that’s in pipeline. The film is in pre-production.

“I’m very excited about ‘Chalo Dilli’ sequel. It will go on floors soon. But I can’t talk about the other projects,” added the former beauty queen.

Beyonce Knowles cheating on husband Jay-Z with bodyguard

If the grapevine is to be believed, Beyonce Knowles is cheating on her husband and singer Jay-Z and she is reportedly having an affair with her bodyguard Julius De Boer.

Jay-Z, who got married to Knowles in 2008, is said to be suspicious about her close relationship with Boer, reports Showbizspy.

“Jay definitely thinks that there was and may still be something romantic going on between Bey and Julius. He wanted to fire Julius last February, but Beyonce said- ‘Julius isn’t going anywhere’,” said a source.

In 2009, Knowles, 32, and Boer were spotted leaving a hotel. Boer’s lips were stained with the singer’s signature red lipstick.

Despite being subject to numerous cheating rumours himself, Jay-Z is jealous of his wife’s friendship with her bodyguard.

“They’ve spent a lot of time together behind closed doors. He’s even stayed in her hotel room,” added a source.

Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey will air a night-long tribute to the late Maya Angelou.

Winfrey’s channel OWN has altered its regular schedule to mark the passing of the acclaimed author, who died at the age of 86 earlier in the week, reported E! online.

The network will begin the tribute with a compilation of interviews with Angelou on The Oprah Winfrey Show, followed by a two-hour episode.

Winfrey has paid tribute to Angelou, saying, “I’ve been blessed to have Maya Angelou as my mentor, mother/sister, and friend since my 20s. She was there for me always, guiding me through some of the most important years of my life. The world knows her as a poet but at the heart of her, she was a teacher.”

Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman have reportedly taken their friendship to the next level after working together for many years.

Thurman, who has been a friend and muse to Tarantino for many years, starred in director’s films like ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Kill Bill’.

Thurman and Tarantino came close during the Cannes Film Festival where they celebrated the 20th anniversary of ‘Pulp Fiction’, reported Us magazine quoting multiple sources.

“They had a thing and got together again recently. He’s loved her for years,” a source told the magazine.

‘Pulp Fiction’ was Thurman’s breakout movie and later went on to work with him in ‘Kill Bill: Volumes 1 and 2.’

“There has always been an attraction. She has indulged from time to time, and that’s how their relationship has always worked,” another source told the magazine.

Thurman was married to Ethan Hawke for six years before divorcing in 2004.

In 2007, Thurman got engaged to hedge-fund magnate Arpad “Arki” Busson, with whom she shares 22-month-old daughter Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.

Thurman and Busson ended their tumultuous on-and-off again relationship recently.
