Director Marc Webb has confirmed the rumour that actor BJ Novak will play Alistair Smythe in ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2‘.
The ‘Saving Mr Banks’ actor will play a character who would later become the Ultimate Spider-Slayer, reported Ace Showbiz.
The first generation of spider-slayers was created by his father, Spencer Smythe. Alistair is seeking revenge for his father’s death.
The sequel is due to hit theatres on May 2.
