Jennifer Lopez has revealed that her divorce from the father of her children, Marc Anthony, left her completely devastated.

The 44-year-old “On The Floor” hitmaker was determined to pick up the pieces after her divorce from the Latino singer in 2011 for the sake of their twins Max and Emme, now aged five, but says the high-profile separation was the toughest thing she has ever experienced, reported Contactmusic.

“Back then the pain hurt so much, but I didn’t want what happened to finish me. I wanted it to help me grow for the better. I didn’t want to just survive it; I wanted to come out of it stronger than I was before,” Lopez said. Read More On MSN

Sidharth Malhotra: I just don't like alcohol

Sidharth Malhotra, who is seen on the cover of men’s magazine GQ India’s February 2014 issue, says alcohol is a stress buster for many but he likes to stay away from it.

When asked how the one-film old actor deals with it at Bollywood parties, he said: “By making polite conversation.”

“…drinking is a stress reliever for a lot of people (but) I just don’t like alcohol…,” GQ India quoted Sidharth as saying.

He will next be seen playing a “nice boy” looking for love in ‘Hasee Toh Phasee‘, set to release on February 7. The film also features Parineeti Chopra. Read more on msn.

'Abar Mahabharata' launched in Bengali

Minister-academician Shashi  Tharoor’s “The Great Indian Novel,” was relaunched for the Bengali reader, as “Abar Mahabharat” at the Kolkata BookFair.

“We are proud to be associated wih Mr Tharoor’s work , this is a Bengali readaptation of his ‘The Great Indian Novel,” Tridib Chattopadhyay, Secretary of fair organizers Publishers and Book Sellers Guild and owner of Patrabharati publications said.

'Byomkesh Bakshi' shooting in Kolkata office hub

The city’s busy office hub BBD Bag, commonly called Dalhousie Square, has become the shooting site for Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’ today.

The area, which wears a deserted look on Sundays, took on a yesteryear look complete with vintage cars, vintage tramcars, horse drawn carriages, ‘kirtan’ singers dressed in ochre and men in dhotis and kurtas to revive the 1940s feel, in which the story of Bengal’s famous fictional detective is set.

Director-producer Girish Malik, who today attended Environment and Wildlife Film Festival here with his first directorial venture ‘Jal’, said it was important to have entertainment angle in an issue-based film to impart the underlying message.

‘Jal’, which talks about water scarcity, is set in the adverse environment of Rann of Kutch in the state of Gujarat.

” ‘Jal’ is about water and its scarcity. But we needed to find a theme to tell a story.

The two contemporaries did not work together in the past, both shinning in their respective careers, but years later Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla are set for an interesting face-off onscreen as the avenger and the villain in ‘Gulaab Gang‘.

In her interviews, Juhi has said that the reason they probably did not work together was because there was lot of competition between actresses at that time.
