Actor Arshad Warsi is recovering from a head injury while shooting for his upcoming film ‘The Legend of Michael Mishra’.
Warsi, 45, took to Twitter to inform his fans that he is doing well after the injury and is under observation of doctors.

Songwriter Bruce Broughton has been stripped of his Oscar nomination for “Alone Yet Not Alone”.
The best original song nomination of controversial “Alone Yet Not Alone” has been revoked by the Academy’s Board of Governors.
The decision was prompted by the discovery that its composer Bruce Broughton, a former Governor and current Music Branch executive committee member of the Academy, had emailed members to make them aware of his submission during the nominations voting period, the Academy said in a release.
“No matter how well-intentioned the communication, using one’s position as a former governor and current executive committee member to personally promote one’s own Oscar submission creates the appearance of an unfair advantage,” said Cheryl Boone Isaacs, Academy President.

Kodi Ramakrishna, known for churning out blockbusters such as ‘Ammoru’ and ‘Arundhati’ in mythology and fantasy genres, says that the success of any film depends on its ‘story’ and ‘execution’, but not on genre.
“I don’t think genres have anything to do with the prospect of a film at the box office. It’s the story and how it’s executed that eventually decides the fate of a film. We’ve had so many films across several genres not doing well because of a weak story,” Ramakrishna told us.

George Clooney has revealed that he has had some great experiences on movies that flopped.

Salman Khan is considered a fitness icon in Bollywood, but the superstar says that he had to fight a “fitter” villain, played by newcomer Haroon Kazi, in his recent film ‘Jai Ho‘.
The two used to work out together in the gym where Salman, 48, noticed the hard work put in by the newcomer Haroon, who was spotted at the gym by his brother Sohail Khan — also the director of ‘Jai Ho’.
“We both trained together on the sets and before the film. When I met Haroon the second time, a month after the first (meeting), I found that he was working out to tone his physique more. And I had to fight a villain who was fitter,” Salman said in a statement.

Canadian police charged Justin Bieber on Wednesday with assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto in December, the latest in a string of legal troubles for the young pop star.
The incident happened in the early hours of December 30, when the limousine picked up six people including Bieber, 19, outside a Toronto nightclub, police said in a statement.

actor Anupam Kher is all set to star in filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s next directorial venture ‘Bade Bhaiya’.
Kher, 58, who was last seen in Barjatya’s family drama ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun‘, took to Twitter to inform about his collaboration with the director.
“Heard the script of Sooraj Barjatya’s next film.
Brilliant! Amazing. Man is a genius. Happy to act in it,” Kher tweeted.

Actress Ameesha Patel got injured while shooting an action sequence for an upcoming film.
The 37-year-old ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ star hurt her knee last week while shooting an action sequence in her film.
“Thank you my tweethearts for all the concern… Got injured a few days ago… Fell very badly during an action sequence.. Knee is hurt but recovering,” Ameesha posted on Twitter.
A doctor was immediately summoned on the set.
The 75th anniversary of Judi Garland starrer 1939 classic ‘The Wizard of Oz‘ will be celebrated at the upcoming Oscars, show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today.
The film, which was a best picture nominee, is based on 1900 novel ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ by author L Frank Baum.
“We are delighted to celebrate the birthday of one of the most beloved movies of all time at this year’s Oscars,” said Zadan and Meron.

Randeep Hooda thought someone was pulling on a prank when he was told that Imtiaz Ali wanted to work with him in ‘Highway‘.
With the film ready to release, Hooda, 37, looks back with joy on their road adventure which took the cast and crew through six different states of India.
“It was very nice working with Imtiaz. He guided us beautifully in the film. He is a Sufi artist kind of fellow but has the diligence of a school boy so you always feel safe. He really participates and helps you with what you are going through as an actor without interfering much.
“Sajid Nadiadwala and I used to joke that he is such a nice guy that it can’t be true. He must turn out a villain in the end but that did not happen,” Randeep told us over phone from Kolkata.

Actress Preeti Desai, who will share screen space with boyfriend, Abhay Deol, for the first time in ‘One By Two‘, says she was initially nervous regarding her chemistry with the actor-producer in the movie.
“Initially I was nervous as I was thinking how my chemistry will appear with Abhay in the film,” the model-turned-actress said in an interview.
“It is my first film with him but it was a smooth chemistry between us. We were very professional while working in the film,” she added.
However, she feels that it is the audience that will decide their pairing in the film after watching it.
“The audience will decide when they watch the film,” she said.
‘One By Two’ is a love story and revolves around a couple who meet each other while living in Mumbai. Both are fed up with their lives and desperately want their situation to change.

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan talks about the Padma Bhushan award, Indian cinema, autobiographies and ‘Vishwaroopam 2′.
Kamal Haasan, who has been named for a Padma Bhushan, says it is a “good fortune” that he has been chosen for India’s third highest civilian honour, but the artiste in him will only be satisfied when he takes Indian cinema to the international arena.
“I think it’s by sheer chance and my good fortune that I have been chosen for the award. But as an artist, awards don’t bring me satisfaction and happiness. I want to take our cinema to the international arena. We have achieved that feat in other fields, but commercial success is not everything,” Kamal told us at his residence.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, currently shooting for ‘Anjaan’, is happy with the pace at which the movie’s filming is progressing and also working with a focused team.
“‘Anjaan’ (is) progressing at a super fast pace. (It’s a) super focused team. (I’m) really happy,” posted Samantha on her Twitter page.

Naseeruddin Shah is upset that moral policing of art has become “politically motivated” nowadays in comparison to the time when authors like Saadat Hasan Manto produced their most famous works.
Naseer captivated a packed house at the third Kolkata Literary Meet with a reading of the India-born Manto, who migrated to Pakistan after the sub-continent’s partition in 1947, who wrote in Urdu from the 1930s to 1950s.
“It’s really worrying to see how far the moral policing of art has come… what we are seeing over the last 10 or 12 years is a very worrisome trend where anybody can decide to take offense..it is terrible…it is politically motivated now…I don’t know about then (Manto’s time)…it was probably not…it was just people’s prudery was outraged but these its much more than that.
“At least their works were not burnt in public…at least they were not dragged into the streets…their precious output was not destroyed…they were not banned…they were not banished…they didn’t have to run away.”Read more on msn.
Denying recent reports that actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will not be a part of Salman Khan‘s ‘Kick‘, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that the actor will start shooting for the film soon.
“We were all celebrating Nawaz’s (Nawazuddin) big win at Filmfare when we heard this news. We are starting the next schedule with Nawaz in a few days,” Nadiadwala said in a statement.
Nawazuddin, who will be seen playing a pivotal role in ‘Kick’, recently won the Filmfare award for the best actor in a supporting role for his film ‘The Lunchbox’.

Arjun Kapoor, who will be seen as Bala in ‘Gunday‘, says he had a difficult time during the shoot of the movie as he had to go four shades darker for his role.
‘Gunday’, also featuring Ranveer Singh, is based in the 1970s Calcutta (now Kolkata) and both the actors had to get their body tanned to match the skin tone of people there and make it look more realistic.
“I had it more difficult than Ranveer Singh as he had to go only two shades darker. For me, it was almost four shades,” Arjun said in a statement.
It took approximately three hours for both the male lead actors to put on the tan make-up and two hours to get it off each time.
Rohan Chand shares screen space with Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg in ‘Lone Survivor‘.
Rohan, who has acted in movies like ‘Jack & Jill’ and ‘Bad Words‘, is said to have an integral role in ‘Lone Survivor’ that will hit Indian screens on February 7.
His character and his onscreen father, played by actor Ali Suliman in the film, are the ones who save Wahlberg from the Afghan Army and nurse him back to health. The child actor, who started acting at the age of six, also speaks in Hindu and Urdu in the film, said a statement. Read More On MSN
